GRID Alternatives

GRID Alternatives is a non-profit solar installer that trains and leads teams of volunteers and job trainees to install solar electric systems for low-income homeowners throughout California. Its mission is to empower communities in need by providing renewable energy and energy efficiency services, equipment and training. Since 2004, GRID has provided solar systems to more than 1,600 families while helping develop a skilled solar labor force to support California’s growing green-tech economy.  Clean Power Finance is a supporter of this organization, sending employees out into the field to assist with installations on low-income homes.

Solar Living Institute

Established in 1998 by the founder of the Real Goods Trading Company, John Schaeffer, the Solar Living Institute is a non-profit solar training organization that promotes sustainable living through inspirational environmental education.  Clean Power Finance partners with the Solar Living Institute to offer training programs for our employees in preparation for NABCEP PV exams.

Department of Energy SunShot Initiative

The SunShot Initiative is a collaborative national effort to make solar energy cost competitive with other forms of energy by the end of the decade.
