Corporate Responsibility

At Clean Power Finance®, our commitment to community and the environment goes beyond our mission to drive the mass-market adoption of solar. We are a sponsor of several non-profit organizations that promote sustainability, job development and education. Our employees engage in community service programs, participate in solar training courses and adhere to green business standards.

GRID Alternatives

GRID Alternatives is a non-profit solar installer that trains teams of volunteers and job trainees to install solar electric systems exclusively for low-income families. GRID’s mission is to make renewable energy technology and job training accessible to under-served communities, helping pursue a successful transition to clean, renewable energy that includes everyone. Since 2004, GRID has provided solar systems to more than 5,500 families while helping develop a skilled solar labor force to support the nation’s growing green-tech economy.

Clean Power Finance is proud to offer our financial support as a GRID Alternatives sponsor. We are even prouder that every single Clean Power Finance employee has the chance to go into the field to assist with at least one installation for low-income families. More than 90% of our employees have participated in this program, and many enjoy the experience so much they sign up for multiple installations. Our support of and ongoing participation with GRID Alternatives is part of our commitment to bringing clean, affordable energy to our local communities and ensuring that all our employees–whether they work in our accounting, platform, sales or legal departments–understand our partners’ businesses.
